I remember when I saw the exorcist I could not sleep for days because I kept on thinking the little girl that had the demon in her. The Ring made 128 million dollars and after I saw that movie, I could not sleep and I always thought about that little girl in the movie that she was going to get me in my sleep. Movies have come a long way and have made millions and billions of dollars for Universal, Warner Brothers, and Fox plus other major movie companies.

I can not believe Sixth Sense made the most money...or that Jaws made the second most amount of money!
ReplyDeleteIt's no surprise that horror flicks aren't at the top of the list for money making movies but they can't be too far behind. People love to be scared. It boosts are adrenaline and gives us a natural high. It makes us alert and sitting on the edge of our seats.

I enjoy watching scary movies and wanted to go watch the movie Friday the 13th, but all the tickets were sold out. So the movie must have been a big hit! I can’t believe that some scary movies make that much money. That is crazy! I agree with you that The Ring was pretty creepy. It just makes you think a little. Scary movies are always nice because it keeps you on your feet and you don’t know what is going to happen next. Do you think that is why people like to watch scary movies?
