History of Horror films

Horror films have lots of history. People like to scare other people just cause. Even as a kid we were always interested in those scary stories our elders would tell us over campfires or just at home by ourselves. We like these stories because of the rush and the adrenalin they give us making us want more and more of the story on what is going to happen next. The first monster movie is The Golem, which was made in 1915 and is about a solid clay man who starts to destroy people. The next movie was made in 1919 called The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. The Cabinet of Caligari was the first movie to make a scary setting of a maniac. The maniac film became haunting for many viewers in 1919. The next film I am going to talk about is one of my old favorite’s horror films of all time. That movie is called Nosferatu. Nosferatu became popular in 1922 and was the first vampire movie. It became some sort of movie just like the movie we know, as Dracula here is a link where u can watch a clip of Nosferatu YouTube - Nosferatu (1922) Trailer . Horror began to become more popular in the 1930’s with popular movies coming out like Dracula in 1931 and Frankenstein in 1931 as well. Other movies that came out are the Mummy, Freaks, King Kong, The Bride of Frankenstein and Mad scientist according to horrorfimhistory.com. As films began to become more and more popular so were ideas as well. The forties kicked of with wolf movies and cat movies. Then in the fiftys there were movies made from creatures. In the 1960 a popular film called Psycho became one of scariest psycho killers of all time. As movies became better and horror became more realistic getting to watch a movie at these days are good.

Horror films

Horror films have given people an exciting and scary feeling. These feelings can occur in movie theaters, people houses, or in your own house. The definition of horror films are unsettling films design to frighten and panic, cause dread and alarm, and to invoke our hidden worst fears. Thats according to http://www.filmsite.org/horrorfilms.html. These films make our heart beat faster, and at the same time were so interested on whats gonna pop out on the tv screen or whats gonna come at us. Ive been watching horror films since I can remember. I really like watching these films because im always interested on what is gonna happen next on the film. Horror films often go to there darkside, a side where evil comes loose. Watching scary creatures or even old ladies coming at you is a very scary feeling. I like the fact how directors can make something that your comfortable at, then making that scene into a scary one. Some examples are like in your bedroom or in the shower. Scenes such as the movie Phyco where the killer is about to kill a girl in the shower made me feel that even in the safest places you can be killed at anytime and anywhere. Watching that movie made me feel how frightning a movie can become into. Now that i have watch so many horror movies i know many that are good and also many that are not. Horror films have been set since the past 100 years when we started to see scary shadows and aslo think of ghost in our minds. But what horror films have become now they keep on getting better and better. Making our minds and heart beat faster and faster i really like that feeling, just like a roller coaster ride.
