This past weekend I came across into two of the best horror movies I’ve seen in awhile. One of them is called The Orphanage, which is a Spanish made film with English subtitles, but it’s still good even if you had to read the subtitles. The other film I saw that was good was the movie called Let the right one in. Let the right one in is a Swedish film that has English subtitles as well. These two movies are two of the best international horror movies I have seen in my life
and I do recommend you seeing them. According to imdp.com El Orfanato which means The Orphanage is a horror movie was taken place in Spain which was released in January in 11, 2008 that is about a place where they keep orphans and a women brings her family back to her childhood home, where she opens an orphanage for handicap children. Then later she notices that her son communicates with an invisible new friend. The son is HIV positive and the invisible friend tells him he is going to die soon. The women makes a party for the orphanage children then notices a child with a scary mask on that nobody sees but here. Then her soon disappears and she can’t find him. Then she feels the presence of other people in the house then invites parapsychologists to try to unravel the mystery. I really recommend this film to others if they want to be scared by gho
stly children or just be in a suspense mode. If you are interested here is a quick clip of The Orphanage. The other good horror film I saw was called Let the right one in. This movie is taken place in Norway and was released on October 24 2008. Let the right one in is a good film if you like vampire movies. A little girl is a vampire who kills a couple of people to satisfy her hunger then becomes good friends with a little boy named Oscar. The story is sad but beautiful on how it was created. Best Norway film I’ve seen here is a small clip of Let the right one in on their website at http://www.lettherightoneinmovie.com/.

I myself am not the biggest fan on horror movies, but this blog has really opened them up to me. I have to say that the best horror movies are the ones from another country. They just bring something different to the aspects of our American made movies. For us we have turned to gore horror where if you watch movies from another country they stick with the basic mind boggling theatrics.
